Some 120 celebrities from around the world are expected to attend the event, along with a delegation of more than 240 media. Bollywood actors set to attend the event include Salman Khan, Kamal Haasan, Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Varun Dhawan, Rajkummar Rao, Vicky Kaushal and Fardeen Khan. Confirmed actresses include Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Rakul Preet Singh, Dia Mirza, Nora Fatehi, Mrunal Thakur, Mouni Roy and Genelia D’Souza, who will accompany her husband Riteish Deshmukh.

This year’s edition will feature performances by Salman Khan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nora Fatehi, Rakul Preet Singh and Iulia Vantur. After this year’s performance, Nora will become the only Bollywood personality to perform twice at the IIFA in all these years.

Sharing her excitement about her performance this year, Iulia said, “I am super super excited. I just finished rehearsals and I’m full of a lot of energy. The music we perform on is very dynamic and full of energy. I will perform with an artist that I really like.” Giving a hint of who she will be performing with, she sang a line from Sukhbir’s iconic song, ‘Ishq Tera Tadpole.’

IIFA 2023, however, is not just about the performances. Filmmaker Kabir Khan and Omung Kumar will offer master classes and workshops on cinema. Sharing his excitement at his shoot, Khan recently said in a statement: “I am looking forward to the interaction as it will give me the opportunity to look back and introspect my choices as well. This kind of knowledge sharing not only creates stimulating conversation, but also works to the benefit of the cinema. I will not only celebrate wins and box office awards, but also reflect on the failures of projects one was passionate about and the negative press that can take a toll on your confidence as a filmmaker momentarily, but can never get you down.”
