IMDC, ANTH organize walking event

ISLAMABAD – Islamabad Medical & Dental College (IMDC) in collaboration with Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital (ANTH) organized a hiking event at Margalla Hiking Trail 3 in Islamabad with a colorful opening ceremony.

A large number of students and professors of medicine, dentistry, physiotherapy, allied health sciences, and nursing, as well as people from different walks of life, participated in the walking event with all their enthusiasm and enthusiasm. IMDC and ANTH senior management and staff members were present at the opening ceremony to encourage the students.

Yasir Khan Niazi, Managing Director of IMDC, said on this occasion that such activities are a regular part of IMDC’s efforts to create a healthy environment for students’ physical and mental fitness, as well as educate these aspiring doctors who would serve to the community by instilling values ​​of professionalism, lifelong learning, academic pursuits, competent practice of medicine, and ethical research.

Imran Ali Ghouri, Head of Communications at IMDC, told the media that the management is determined to provide a conducive environment for each of the students so that their intellectual and physical abilities can develop to the best of their ability, adding that “these activities also serve IMDC and ANTH. motorcycle to raise awareness in society about the adoption of a healthy lifestyle”.

Yasir Niazi further said that IMDC and ANTH organize separate co-curricular activity weeks each year including sports like volleyball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, cricket along with fun fairs, arts, quiz shows, debates and poetry.

The walk event, which included music and fun activities, ended with an awards ceremony. The students, faculty members and other participants thanked the IMDC management for organizing such a useful event which they enjoyed very much and expressed their hope that the university will organize more such activities for them in the future.
