Khan has taken refuge at his home in the Zaman Park area of Lahore, where clashes broke out earlier this week when police tried to detain him after he failed to show up for an earlier court hearing in the case. His supporters blocked the entrance to his Lahore residence with bins and roadblocks today after a Pakistani court rejected a petition suspend the arrest warrant without bail issued against the former prime minister.
Meanwhile, the president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said he is willing to “talk to anyone” for the good of the country, hours after the prime minister Shehbaz Sharif urged cooperation to address Pakistan’s issues, Pakistani media reported.
