In Pictures: Australia Day baby welcomed by its zoo friends

Taronga Zoo in Sydney has welcomed a new Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroo joey.

The 28-week-old male joey, who is yet to be named, has only just begun to pop his head and shoulders out of his mum’s pouch.

“We’ve seen his legs, arms, head, and a tail popping out, just not at the same time quite yet,” zookeeper Sam Bennett said.

“We’re expecting him to make the milestone any day now.”
