India, which has created a significant and robust innovation ecosystem such as Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and Aadhaar to benefit millions of its people, will help other nations build and expand their digital infrastructure, said the Minister of State for Electronics and IT Union, Rajeev Chandrasekhar said on Monday.
Speaking at the Global Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) Summit in Pune, the minister said that UPI, which is one of the fastest growing fintech ecosystems in the world, was essentially a use case for the government to transfer subsidies to citizens. No problem.
“As governments around the world implement IPR, they will see the catalytic benefit of India’s innovation and start-up ecosystem in their local economies with partnerships. They should make India a case study on IPR,” Chandrasekhar said at the meeting.
On the first day of the summit, the Center signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with three countries to share the India Stack, the successful digital solutions implemented at population scale.
At the event, the government raised the concept of ‘One Future Alliance’, a voluntary initiative that aims to bring together all stakeholders to shape, design and design the future of IPRs that can be used by all countries and all people.
Chandrasekhar stressed that it is important for governments to formally acknowledge that cyber security threats hinder innovation, trust in essential services and consumer trust.
“Cybersecurity in the digital economy is not a national problem but a global problem. Without a doubt, a global protocol is required and this DPI partnership, this future alliance would also address partnership issues to shape the future of our approach to security. cybernetics. ”, said the minister.
The DPI infrastructure is further accelerating with the advent of technologies such as artificial intelligence and language models.
“The move towards a global IPR framework is about addressing the fact that technology can and should be inclusive and should empower even those who are not necessarily the developed and advanced nations of the world,” the minister stressed.
Advancing the ‘G20 Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG)’, MeitY is organizing the summit in Pune on June 12-14.
The summit is expected to be attended by around 300 high-level delegates, including 150 foreign delegates from 46 countries.
