India has rejected the demand of the four-nation European Free Commerce Affiliation (EFTA) for ‘information exclusivity’ provisions within the free commerce settlement that either side are negotiating, commerce secretary Sunil Barthwal mentioned on Thursday.
EFTA’s members — Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland — are international locations which have opted out of the European Union.
Barthwal was reacting to stories that the demand for information exclusivity would make it tough for the Indian pharma trade

The trade is contributing considerably to India
India and EFTA have been negotiating the Commerce and Financial Partnership Settlement since January 2008.
