Washington: Indian-American non-profit organisations within the US have introduced the beginning of a $1 million (Rs 8.29 crores) fund to determine digital libraries in underserved communities in India.

Christened “Undertaking Umeed”, the groundbreaking initiative to advertise schooling and digital literacy in rural India is being launched in partnership with Educate for Life, India Growth and Reduction Fund (IDRF), Guru Krupa Basis and SM Sehgal Basis.
