Amid mysterious deaths of Indian college students within the US, a 25-year-old scholar from Hyderabad has gone lacking from Cleveland space. His household has requested the Ministry of Exterior Affairs to assist after they acquired a “ransom” name in India.
Mohammed Abdul, learning within the US, is lacking since March 7.
A resident of Hyderabad‘s Nacharam, Abdul went to the USA to pursue a Masters diploma in IT from Cleveland College in Might 2023.
The ‘kidnapper’ requested for a $1,200 ransom, and threatened to promote Abdul’s kidney if the quantity is just not paid. Nevertheless, no mode of cost was defined.
Abdul’s father, Mohammed Saleem, then wrote to Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar searching for the assistance of Indian authorities. He requested the Central authorities to take obligatory measures to find and convey again his son safely.

In line with the household, Abdul’s father final spoke to him on March 7. Since then, Abdul has not been in contact with the household and his telephone is reportedly switched off.
Abdul’s roommates within the States stated that they’ve lodged a lacking grievance with the Cleveland Police.
On March 19, Abdul’s household acquired a name claiming that he was allegedly kidnapped by gang that promote medicine. The unidentified individual then demanded $1,200 to ‘launch’ Abdul. The caller threatened to promote Abdul’s kidneys if the ransom wasn’t paid, the Indian scholar‘s father stated.
“Yesterday, I obtained a name from an unknown quantity, and the caller knowledgeable me that my son has been kidnapped and demanded cash,” Saleem instructed PTI including that the caller didn’t point out the mode of cost. “…Simply requested to pay the quantity. After I requested the caller to permit us to speak to my son, he refused,” Saleem added.
