The Transportation Ministry has adjudged Citilink as the airline with the best air transportation supervision and airworthiness this year.
President director of Citilink, Juliandra, said his team was chosen for the award from among 27 domestic and international airlines operating in Indonesia.
“This award is proof of Citilink’s success in providing prime services to passengers by applying and prioritising safety and security in every flight,” he remarked in a written statement released here on Thursday.
The award assessment hinged on the aspect of air transportation supervision that encompasses services to passengers, tariffs, and compliance with government regulations as well as airworthiness, he said.
The aspect of airworthiness includes compliance and fulfillment of regulations and speedy follow-up on the integration portal system of the ministry’s directorate general of Air Transportation, he added.
According to Juliandra, Citilink has consistently continued to conduct steps and efforts to guarantee all flight activities comply with the aspects of safety and security, based on the prevailing regulations.
Citilink always applies strict health protocols in all of its operational flight lines, from the pre-flight, in-flight, until post-flight stage, he said. The flight operations of Citilink refer to the government’s health protocols, so that all flights can run optimally, he added.
The award, which was bestowed on Citilink, which is a part of state-owned enterprises (BUMN), was handed over by the office head of the Airport Authority zone five, Sigit Widodo, on behalf of the Airport Authority of the first territory in Bandung, on November 30, 2021, he said.
The first-class Airport Authority in zone one covers Cengkareng Soekarno Hatta Airport at Tangerang (CGK), Halim Perdanakusuma Airport at Jakarta (HLP), Husein Sastranegara Airport at Bandung (BDO), Radin Inten II Airport at Lampung (TKG), and Supadio Airport at Pontianak (PNK).
