EVA Air has once again obtained the SKYTRAX 5-star airline certification. Only 10 airlines in the world have received 5-star certifications and EVA is the only one in Taiwan to receive the distinction. SKYTRAX is a world-renowned aviation research authority that awards airlines from one to five stars annually after extensive evaluations and professional analysis of quality standards for nearly 350 airlines worldwide. Categories considered include airport services, seat comfort, inflight service supplies, cabin comfort, catering, inflight entertainment, cabin crew services, and more. These star designations have served as important benchmarks for airline passengers. In addition to EVA, the other nine airlines that received the highest 5-star honors by 2023 include Singapore Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines, Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, Hainan Airlines, and Garuda Indonesia.

In their 2023 reviews, SKYTRAX inspectors highlighted EVA’s smooth boarding order, inflight amenities, flight attendant service skills, inflight tableware and inflight entertainment system. They singled out cabin cleanliness, amenity kits, cabin safety and seat comfort on EVA’s Boeing-787 Royal Laurel Class as highlights.
The pandemic forced EVA to adjust the limited operations that were possible to achieve a balance between epidemic prevention and service quality.
