The health ministry announced 3,891 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, bringing the total number of infections nationwide to 236,519. According to data released by the ministry on Friday, 114 more people have died of the disease, bringing the death toll to 9,336.
The total number of recovered patients has also increased to 170,774. The capital city recorded 1,258 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 59,840. Meanwhile, East Java reported 485 new cases, West Java 341, Riau 225, Central Java 198 and South Sulawesi 159. The virus has spread to all of the country’s 34 provinces. (kmt)
