Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar was all praise for Gujarat Titans ace batsman Shubman Gill after he played an outstanding innings of 129 runs and just 60 deliveries against Mumbai Indians in the second Indian Premier League qualifier ( IPL). Gill hit seven fours and ten sixes in what was one of the best shots this season.
Speaking of Gill’s performance, Sachin Tendulkar said the innings were nothing short of an unforgettable event. Taking to Twitter, “What really impressed me about Shubman’s batting was the remarkable temperament of him, his unwavering calm, his hunger for runs and his cunning in running between the wickets,” Tendulkar said.
In a conversation with ABP NewsFormer Indian fast bowler Atul Wassan said he has a feeling Shubman Gill will “swallow” the iconic trio of Kohli, Rohit and Dhoni as he gains experience as a cricketer.
Wassan went on to claim that MS Dhoni is next in line to be beaten by Gill as the Gujarat Titans take on Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023 final.
“I feel like next in line is Mahi. Even the Gujarat Titans team have looked terrific. Mumbai was in the game with Suryakumar Yadav there, but Gujarat has good bowling depth too. Despite coming in as a fresh team, they have made an Impact. We had seen such excellence from CSK. Speaking of Gill, he is a well-grounded player. Anyone could lose focus given the money and fame in IPL, but Gill looks collected,” he said.
