Iranian-American journalist and activist Masih Alinejad says a foiled plan by the Iranian government to kidnap her was motivated with the intent to stop her “giving a voice to voiceless people” in the country.
“It shows that’s how much they’re scared of us – how much they’re actually frustrated,” she told Sky News Australia.
“I am a journalist, an activist, I’m not a criminal, my job is to give voice to voiceless people.
“And by doing that they’re trying actually to get my focus away from my job.
