Medical doctor and entertainer Musa Mthombeni and former Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie have just dropped hints that they are officially married, via their Instagram accounts earlier today (21 August).
DR MUSA AND LIESL’S LOVE STORY
Dr Musa Mtombeni and Liesl Laurie first went public with their relationship on 27 June when they got engaged. Since then we’ve seen their relationship progress from their public display of affection (on Instagram) to their lobola negotiations.Â
Dr Mtombeni later revealed that their love actually began through the Direct Messages (DM) feature on Instagram.Â
“One year ago on this day, the 2nd of July, my dear friend @dr_khanyile posted a picture of @liesllaurie on her IG stories. I commented on this story with a Ҡand sent @dr_khanyile a voice note highlighting my utter excitement for this post,†wrote Mtombeni on Instagram.Â
“Within the hour I sent @liesllaurie a sweet innocent message and as they say….. the rest is history. Since that day I’ve spoken to @liesllaurie everyday, throughout the day,†he continued in his heartfelt post.
It seems the couple have officially tied the knot today as they shared pictures to their respective Instagram accounts with captions suggesting they just got married. The couple did not share any details of the event, besides Dr Mtombeni’s hint that it took place at his home.
Here is a look at their posts.

WILL IT BE MRS MTOMBENI?
It is not yet clear whether Liesl will keep her surname, hyphen it or go by Mtombeni. However, in the caption of her post she referred to herself as “uMakoti wakwa Mthombeni ,†which means “Mtombeni bride†when translated to English.Â
Liesl’s dress was designed by fashion designer Juan William Aria who has designed dresses for Miss Supranational SA Thato Mosehle and former Miss Universe Zozinini Tunzi. While Dr Mtombeni wore a full black outfit by Lufi D.
“Matrimony /ˈmatrɪmÉ™ni/ noun the state of being married; marriage,†wrote Dr Mtombeni on Instagram.Â
Fans and followers took to the comments section of the post to congratulate the couple. The news comes just two days after the couple celebrated their first anniversary.
