Israel has killed a high-ranking Iranian normal in an airstrike in Syria, based on Iranian state media.
The strike killed Seyed Razi Mousavi, an adviser to the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Syria, within the Sayida Zeinab neighborhood of the capital Damascus. The IRGC is a department of the Iranian navy.
Iran’s state-run information company reported Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi mentioned Israel pays for Mousavi’s dying. Raisi mentioned Mousavi was an in depth affiliate of the deceased Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani, who was killed in a U.S. drone strike in 2020.
