Israel’s Yoav Gallant: ‘We Are Preventing an Axis, Not a Single Enemy’

TEL AVIV—Israel’s protection minister, Yoav Gallant, says the size and severity of the Oct. 7 assault on Israel by Palestinian Islamist militant group Hamas deeply shook Israelis’ sense of safety and profoundly altered the best way they view the world round them.

“October 7 was the bloodiest day for Jewish folks since 1945,” Gallant, a general-turned-politician, informed The Wall Avenue Journal. “The world wants to grasp. That is totally different.”
