‘It will take a beating as Pakistan is an extraordinary team’: Ashwin explains why PAK will be a great team at Asian Cup and World Cup

Indian Premier R Ashwin believes that Pakistan will be the team to beat in the Asian Cup and consistent performances from Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan will make them even more dangerous in the continental event.

Calling both Pakistan and India favorites for the Asian title, Ashwin said on his YouTube channel: “If Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan consistently deliver performances with the bat, Pakistan will be a great team going into this Asian Cup already. the Asian Cup. World Cup.

“It’s going to take a good beating as Pakistan is an extraordinary team.” Pakistan will take on Nepal in the opening match of the tournament on Wednesday before facing India in the highly anticipated clash on September 2.

The Men in Blue have won the last three meetings against Pakistan in ODIs. Ashwin feels that the depth of the Pakistan team makes them serious contenders for the Asia Cup and the subsequent World Cup.
