The India Foundation, in association with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, has organized the sixth edition of the conference with the theme “Peace, Prosperity and Partnership for a Resilient Future”.

Bangladeshi Minister of State for External Affairs Md Shahriar Alam welcomed the Indian Foreign Minister upon his arrival, a spokesman for the Bangladesh Foreign Office said.

The meeting, a two-day gathering starting May 12, is aimed at deliberating prospects for regional cooperation, according to a statement from the India Foundation.

Bangladesh has not issued an official statement detailing Jaishankar’s commitments during his visit here.
