Sofia Vergara‘s ex-husband Joe Manganiello and his longtime girlfriend Caitlin O’Connor have set off rumors they are engaged.
The couple were glimpsed this week enjoying a romantic dinner together in Sicily – with Caitlin sporting a diamond ring on her left hand.
She could be seen staring adoringly at him across their alfresco table, resting her chin on her hand, with the bauble dazzlingly visible.
They were also spotted holding hands as they strolled through the picturesque streets of the romantic city of Taormina, which was featured on The White Lotus.
Joe, 48, and Caitlin, 34, were first linked in September 2023 just a couple of months after news broke that his marriage to Modern Family star Sofia was ending.

Joe tied the knot with Sofia in 2015, when she was at the height of her Modern Family superstardom and he had become a sex symbol via True Blood and Magic Mike.
Caitlin, who is 18 years younger than Sofia, was first linked to Joe a couple of months after he and Sofia went public with their split over the summer of 2023.
They were reportedly introduced at a hot tub during an ‘unofficial’ premiere afterparty for the hit HBO series Winning Time about the 1980s Lakers.
A source disclosed at the time that ‘the first time they met in the hot tub and they were talking the whole time!’ according to People.
At the beginning of last year, Sofia claimed she and Joe split up because he wanted to have children whereas she ‘didn’t want to be an old mom,’ via El Pais.
Joe, however, staunchly disputed her version of events, saying that he and Sofia ‘did try to have a family for the first year and a half’ but that he ‘swore to her that I would never leave if it didn’t work out. And I didn’t.’
He maintained that the subject of children ‘wasn’t inevitably why everything ended,’ saying the divorce took place ‘because two people grew apart, and sometimes that happens,’ in an interview with Men’s Journal.
‘To be painted as if I had some sort of midlife crisis, and after nine years, turned to somebody and gave them an ultimatum of: “Do this potentially unhealthy thing to your body, or else I’m gone?” That’s never who I was,’ he insisted.
Sofia was previously married in the early 1990s to her high school sweetheart Joe Gonzalez, with whom she welcomed her 33-year-old son Manolo Gonzalez Vergara.
Between marriages, she dated actor Nick Loeb for two years before getting engaged to him in 2012, only for them to break up in 2014.
After their split, Sofia and Nick plunged into a legal battle over two fertilized embryos that they produced through in vitro fertilization and kept cryogenically frozen.
Nick first sued Sofia in 2015 in order to obtain custody of the embryos and bring them to term, triggering a years long feud in the courts.
He began their legal fight in California but then shifted it to Louisiana, where the law regards embryos as separate human beings with their own rights.
Sofia scored a victory against Nick in 2021 when a Los Angeles judge granted a permanent injunction against his using the embryos without her consent.
The ruling accused Nick’s lawyers of ‘blatantly engaging in forum shopping,’ attempting to get the case into a court that would lean in his favor.
