Scarborough, the co-host of msnbc‘s “Morning Joe,” aired a montage of offensive comments Carlson made on his primetime show, of which he was allegedly fired last week.
“I want these people who are defending Tucker CarlsonI want them to see one more time what they are standing for,” Scarborough said before playing the footage, which was first shared on MSNBC’s “The Medhi Hasan Show”.
The supercut featured clips of Carlson questioning whether there really is such a thing as white supremacy, trafficking conspiracy theories about the police killing of George Floyd and the attack on Vice President Kamala Harris and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.).
“I have no words,” Scarborough said after broadcasting the video.
“Not just because of what we saw there, but also because of the people who come out and say, ‘Yeah, but at least he didn’t wake up,’” he added. “So will we go along with the most racist rants I think we’ve heard on the national news in our lifetimes?”
The reason for Carlson’s abrupt departure from the conservative network remains unclear, though a chain of vile text messages It is believed that it was one of the straws that broke the camel’s back for the network.
