Jordan Klepper Remembers His Favorite MAGA Comment And It’s A Doozy

But one comment stands out, the correspondent recalled in never-before-seen footage filmed last week during his stint as a guest host on Comedy Central.

Klepper recalled speaking to a woman during Trump’s first impeachment trial for trying to extort Ukraine. The then-president was preventing witnesses, including former national security adviser John Bolton, from testifying.

The woman insisted to Klepper that Trump was “innocent” and said that if he had done anything wrong, he would be trying to cover it up.

Klepper asked if blocking testimony would be an admission of guilt.

The woman agreed that she would.

Klepper told him that Trump was blocking testimony.

“And she takes this very long beat, thinks about it, and says, ‘I don’t care,'” he said.

The woman was “being completely honest at the time,” he added.

When people’s politics are tied to who they are, it’s almost impossible to change their minds, Klepper said.

“They don’t give a shit about new information,” he said.
