DAM WALL COLLAPSE WREAKS HAVOC TWO WEEKS AGO

It’s barely a month since a mine dam wall collapsed, leaving a trail of destruction in the area.

On Sunday, 11 September, the community of Jagersfontein woke up to a catastrophic morning when a collapsed dam wall destroyed properties and left a number of people displaced.

According to the Free State Government, 164 houses were damaged following the burst of the Jagersfontein mine dam.
