After days of hints, it’s finally official that TXT and the Jonas Brothers are teaming up for a summer single.
K-Pop group TXT and the Jonas Brothers have released the first teaser for their upcoming song Do It Like That, which will drop on July 7 at 1:00 p.m. KST, along with its music video.
TXT, the Jonas Brothers and One Republic’s Ryan Tedder will produce the single which had previously fueled speculation about a potential collaboration through various cryptic posts and social media interactions. TXT’s agency BIGHIT MUSIC has also unveiled a release schedule for the upcoming single which ends with a mysterious teaser of “STAY TUNED FOR MORE”.
The moment the post that the song, Do It Like That, will be released on July 7 was revealed, several fans took to the comment section and expressed their excitement. “OMG I CAN DIE HAPPY NOW MY CHILDHOOD IDOLS AND KPOP TOGETHER ARE YOU KIDDING?” wrote one fan. “What’s going on? K-Pop and JoBros coming together? I feel like I’m in an alternate universe and I’m not mad at it,” wrote a second fan. “Nostalgic idols plus K-pop idols…. This is going to be fun!” wrote a third user. “I’m going to cry! Can’t wait,” wrote a fourth user. “SUMMER SONG YUP,” wrote a fifth user.
The Jonas Brothers also shared a fun video with TXT after the new single was announced. “Excuse me?” the trio captioned the clip, which shows the brothers literally running towards K-pop stars.
The new single continues what is already a hugely successful year for TOMORROW X TOGETHER. In January, the group scored their first Billboard 200 No.1 project with The Name Chapter: Temptation, the K-Pop star’s third consecutive title to reach the top 10 on the chart. In May, the Jonas Brothers scored their seventh career top 10 hit on the Billboard chart. 200 with The Album, his sixth studio album.
Meanwhile, TXT released their second studio album, The Chaos Chapter: Freeze on May 31 with the lead single OX1=Lovesong, featuring Seori. While Jonas Brothers released their sixth studio album titled “The Album”. The album also features one-off appearances by Jon Bellion.
