Karan Johar on Wednesday took to social media to share a video that had love moments from movies like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, My Name Is Khan, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Student of the Year and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. He wrote: “Nothing but gratitude for the magical 25 years I have spent in the director’s chair. I learned, I grew, I cried, I laughed, I lived. And tomorrow another piece of my heart will be yours to see and I couldn’t be more ecstatic as I celebrate my birthday with all of you. With a kahaani that has prem written all over it. Dharma Productions shared, “It is the dawn of a new era of love! After bringing you stories of pyaar and dosti that still hold a special place in hearts across the seven seas, now is the time to hit play on a new season, with a ‘prem kahaani’ led by the captain himself, # Karan Johar. while completing 25 years as a filmmaker.”
“A while ago, Dharma Productions had launched the logo of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, now the movie is ready and the makers will officially release the first poster later in May. Making the release special, especially since it will mark Karan’s return to directing, the lineup is planned to be revealed on May 25, which will coincide with the filmmaker’s birthday,” the well-placed source reveals to bollywood hungama recently.
Detailing further, the source added: “The entire promotional campaign for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will begin after the poster release on May 25. So look forward to a grand opening ceremony which will also mark Karan’s 51st birthday.”
The film stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. It will be released on July 28 in theaters.
