Kelly Clarkson is in no hurry to make a love connection.
The singer, 43, who was joined by daughter River Rose, 11, on stage during her Friday night show in Las Vegas, opened up about why she’s content to be single with her audience over the weekend.
In a TikTok video recorded during the hitmaker’s Studio Sessions residency at at the Colosseum at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace, she explained, ‘Dating can be very difficult which is why I don’t.’
Having immense fame can also be a drawback to any relationship. ‘Add a spotlight and it’s like a … dumpster fire,’ she told the crowd.
More than a few fans related to her decision to go stay away from the dating scene.
‘I hear ya darlin’!’ wrote one fan.

‘I don’t need a man. I need my margarita and my cheese,’ revealed another.
The pair split in 2020 and finalized their divorce two years later after a lengthy court battle over finances, property and child custody.
The Grammy winner won full primary custody of her kids and moved to New York City.
‘I knew I needed a fresh start and couldn’t be in L.A. I really wanted to be in Montana, but you can’t really do a show from there quite yet. So I was like, “The only other option would probably be New York.”‘ she told USA Today in 2023.
At a show in Atlantic City in May, the Since U Been Gone singer got real with her audience, sharing that difficult relationships seemed to be a family tradition.
Clarkson’s parents divorced when she was six.
‘We learn from our parents, [who] learn from their parents. We keep repeating the same horrible sh*t over and over,’ she said at the time. ‘Now, it turns out that I chose the same f-ing path.’

The new line includes replicas of the rug she uses on stage during her Studio Sessions shows along with 1970s inspired furniture similar to that on the stage and in her Montana party barn.
