Prominent Indian actress and politician Kirron Kher has tested positive for COVID-19. Kher herself confirmed the news on social media on March 20, 2023. Sharing her diagnosis on Twitter, the veteran actress also called on those who come in contact with her to get tested. Talking about the COVID-19 situation in Maharashtra, the state on Monday recorded 128 new coronavirus cases which brought the infection count to 81,39,865.

Going back to Kirron Kher’s Tweet, she wrote: “I have tested positive for covid. So anyone who has been in contact with me, please get tested.” Before long, her well-wishers and supporters flooded the comments section with “get well soon” messages. “I hope it’s mild and doesn’t bother you too much,” one user tweeted, while another wrote: “I wish you a speedy recovery.”

In early 2012, the Devdas The actress was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer. For the uninitiated, multiple myeloma is a cancer of the plasma cells that produce antibodies to fight infection. Later, Anupam Kher and his son Sikander Kher shared a health update, which read, “Just so that rumors don’t get the better of a situation, Sikandar and I would like to inform everyone that Kirron has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of cancer. He is currently undergoing treatment and we are confident that he will come out of this stronger than before.”
The note further stated: “We are so blessed that she is being cared for by a phenomenal group of physicians. She has always been a fighter and takes things head on. She is all heart and that is why she has so many people who love her. So keep sending her your love in your prayers and in your heart.”
