Kristen Bell stuns fans with her vocals amid baseball game

Kristen Bell is famed for her acting abilities but it seems fans forget that she can also carry a serious tune. The 46-year-old star, who voiced the animated character Anna in the Disney blockbuster Frozen, wowed a crowd as she performed a track from the 2013 film at a Savannah Bananas baseball game in Denver, Colorado, on Saturday. Pop culture account @jockcult shared footage of Bell belting out the song For The First Time In Forever in the stadium’s stands, before claiming that the internet was ‘collapsing upon discovering that she actually knows how to sing in real life.’ 

Indeed, a legion of X users flocked to the comments section stunned by the blonde’s vocal abilities. ‘Her serving vocals, I’m shocked,’ one wrote. ‘Woah, she sounds soo good live!’ a second social media pundit added, before a third stated: ‘People really forgot Kristen Bell has been casually carrying Anna’s vocals this whole time.’ Another dumbfounded fan admitted: ‘I had no idea either. Her voice is genuinely amazing!’ 

Bell was joined by singer-turned-baseball star Derek Klena, who sang Dancing Through Life from Wicked while on the field in his uniform. The pair later performed a duet, singing (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life together as the finale. Klena, a 34-year-old Broadway star, was scouted by the team and officially joined in December 2025. The @savbananas Instagram account called the collaboration between Bell and Klena ‘the mashup we never knew we needed.’

Even some famous faces were in the Instagram comments to react to Bell’s showstopping rendition. Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause joked, ‘Wait, I like sports now…?’ And Reese Witherspoon gushed that Bell was ‘making the Bananas even more magical.’ Meanwhile, fans can expect more new music from Bell soon.

She will reprise the role of Bell in the third installment of Frozen, set to be released next year. Disney previewed the film at its three-day D23 convention on Friday in Anaheim, California, with also performing there. She belted out a track alongside co-star Idina Menzel, who stars as the blonde Queen Elsa in the franchise.
