Kyle Richards breaks down in tears as she reveals heartbreaking anniversary message from estranged husband Mauricio Umansky

Kyle Richards got emotional in a preview for an upcoming episode of Bravo’s Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.

The 56-year-old reality TV star broke down in tears while revealing the message her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky, also 56, sent to her on their 30th wedding anniversary on January 20.

‘I’m just having a moment,’ a teary-eyed Richards confided in co-star Vicki Gunvalson in a clip. ‘Today’s my 30-year anniversary. It makes me sad.’

She went on to disclose what Umansky wrote to her as she said: ‘He sent me a text and it just sent me off. He said today’s always such a hard day and I love you. He said I don’t know how we got here.’

Richards lamented about her relationship, ‘I thought we were stronger than that. I really had thought that.’

It comes three years after the couple announced their shock separation.

Gunvalson, who split from ex-husband Donn Gunvalson in 2010, said in a confessional interview, ‘My heart is breaking for Kyle because they’ve got everything everyone is looking for and 30 years of marriage, all of a sudden it’s dissolving.’

Meanwhile, Richards shared what’s been most painful amid her public-facing breakup. 

She reflected, ‘The thing that bothered me the most, honestly, was people saying that we gave them hope that true love existed.

‘And now, that went out the window for them. But I understand people thinking like that.’

Gunvalson didn’t hold back when adding her perspective.

During the sentimental and vulnerable moment, she told her longtime friend, ‘You let your family down. You let your kids down. You’re showing them it’s okay to bail out when things get tough. It’s not okay.’

She continued: ‘For me, you guys were the epitome of staying together forever. You’re supposed to grow old together, you’re supposed to do life together, [have] grandkids.’

Richards and Umansky share daughters Farrah, 37, Alexia, 30, Sophia, 26, and Portia, 18.

The estranged couple share four daughters

Umansky has been linked to a string of women since his separation from Richards, including models Klaudia K and Nikita Kahn, both of whom are in their mid-30s.

Last November he told People what advice his daughters have given him about his love life.

‘The biggest advice that they give from their perspective is: “Dad, we want you to be happy. We want you to enjoy yourself, but be age-appropriate,”‘ he revealed.

Amid their estrangement, Richards and Umansky reunited at their daughter Portia’s high school graduation in June.
