Kyle Sandilands has hinted at a potential future collaboration between him and former Today show co-host Karl Stefanovic.
The radio star, 55, admitted on Thursday morning on The Kyle Sandilands Show that he would be open to hiring Stefanovic, 52, to work alongside him.
‘Karl could end up working here, doing afternoons, for all we know… which has been discussed!’ Sandilands admitted.
He went on to say he frequently speaks with Karl and feels a strong connection.
‘We do catch up, we text here and there. We know what is going on in each other’s lives,’ he said.
‘I even rang him to apologise that day I was off!’
Kyle Sandilands has hinted at a potential future collaboration between him and former Today show co-host Karl Stefanovic
Earlier this year, the media heavyweights sent the rumour mill ablaze when two domain names – KyleandKarl.com.au and KarlandKyle.com.au – were registered in June 2026 by Kyle’s company, King Kyle Group Pty Ltd.
Fans began speculating the long-time friends – who were both axed from their respective high-profile media jobs – could be preparing to launch a new project together.
However, it turned out to be nothing more than a publicity stunt.
Kyle’s long-time manager and business partner Bruno Bouchet addressed the rumours during an appearance on the Game Changers podcast, revealing there was never a plan for a Kyle and Karl show.
When asked whether the domains were registered simply for ‘clickbait and s**t stirring’, Bouchet admitted that was exactly the case.
‘Yeah, absolutely. There was nothing to it,’ he said.
Bouchet explained that he registered the domains in the middle of a conversation with a journalist who was asking him about the possibility of the pair teaming up.
‘I had a journo calling me like, “What do you think about Karl and Kyle?” And while I was talking to this journo, I registered both domains, and it was the best $7 I spent.’

While the stunt successfully fuelled speculation, Bouchet said he never believed a daily Kyle and Karl show would necessarily work.
‘Like if you were listening to it, what’s unique about the chemistry?’ he questioned.
‘Two rich white guys talking to one another who are of similar age (and) experience? That isn’t having a go at either of them, but with any partnership, you try to figure out what the secret sauce is.’
He said the key question for any successful partnership was what the audience would gain that they could not find elsewhere.
‘What is the output that is going to be unique?’
Bouchet praised both men’s individual talents but said he struggled to see how combining them into a regular show would create something different.
He has reached a confidential settlement with Ibrahim, bringing an end to a dispute that had been due to return to the NSW Supreme Court this week.
He then revealed he was in contact with the former Channel Nine presenter and felt a strong connection with him
According to news.com.au, insiders have suggested the agreement could be worth seven figures, although the financial details have not been publicly disclosed.
In a statement, a spokeswoman confirmed the former business partners had reached an agreement.
‘Mr Stefanovic and Ms Ibrahim have today agreed to settle the litigation and dispute between them,’ the statement read.
‘While the terms of this settlement are confidential, the arrangement results in Mr Stefanovic acquiring the interests of Ms Ibrahim in the company and Ms Ibrahim exiting the company as a shareholder and director.’
The statement also confirmed Ibrahim had agreed to discontinue the legal proceedings she launched against the television personality.
In September, Monica Allen, for Ibrahim, said that the podcast had originated when Karl had approached her to build and operate the business.
While he was the talent, it is understood Ibrahim did ‘the heavy lifting’, building a substantial audience, sponsorship and commercial opportunities while Karl was still at Channel Nine’s Today Show.
Ibrahim has edited magazines owned by Pacific Magazines and Bauer, and was recently employed as Woolworths’ head of content.
