Somers died on Sunday, in the future earlier than she would have celebrated her 77th birthday. In an announcement to ET, the Step by Step star’s publicist and longtime pal, R. Couri Hay, confirmed she died at 5 a.m. with Hamel, her son, and different members of the family surrounding her.
