msnbc‘s mehdi hasan he called out right-wingers for both hypocrisy and committing “the literal definition of terrorism” in their latest culture war antics.
“Overnight, apparently the worst conservative uncle of all at Thanksgiving dinner took it upon himself to break down the walls of Target’s ‘woke’ clothing departments, vandalize rainbow Pride displays and accost employees. from the store in the process,” he said.
“I must point out here that threatening violence or behaving violently for political purposes is the literal definition of terrorism,” Hasan said, adding that Target “capitulated” to such threats of terror.
Hasan also called out the right for an “impressive” level of hypocrisy.
“Conservatives who love to engage in doomsday histrionics every time a homeless person steals a loaf of bread from a San Francisco grocery store, such people have no problem with deranged maniacs rampaging through the streets. Target stores, destroy private property and threaten minimum wage retail workers. ,” he said.
Hasan also pointed out other hypocrisies.
“The American right wing pretends to love free speech, until people or corporations they don’t like exercise it,” he said. “They say they hate boycotts and cancel culture, until they boycott and cancel.”
They also talk tough about crime and terror… “until it’s their side that commits crimes and terrorizes.”
