That ball went like a rocket. I have no doubt Smriti’s hands will be bright red. She has done very well to catch that ball.

20th over — Saima Thakor is back into the attack
Saima Thakor comes into the attack to Phoebe Litchfield.
FOUR. Litchfield smacks the first ball of the over back over Thakor’s head for a boundary.
WIDE. Litchfield tries to paddle but it is down the leg side and beats Picha Ghosh at keeper. Australia runs two, along with the wide.
19th over — DRS saves Georgia Voll
India is turning to the leg spin of Priya Mishra.
FOUR. That is one of the best shots of the innings. Phoebe Litchfield skipped down the wicket and played a lofted cover drive for four.
Litchfield plays a reverse sweep for a single.
FOUR. Georgia Voll plays a cut shot and gets a thick edge. It’s in the air and just falls short of the fielder at short third. The ball then spins hard, gets past the fielder, and goes to the rope.
VOLL IS GIVEN OUT LBW. Pryia appeals and the umpire says out. It was a wrong-un that hit Voll in front.
Voll reviews, but this looks out.

Minnu bowls and beats the outside edge of Phoebe Litchfield.

17th over — Australia’s openers reach a 100-run partnership
Thakur bowls and Phoebe Litchfield plays a ramp shot for a single.
Georgia Voll pulls the second ball into the deep leg-side for a single.
That is the 100-run partnership for the openers.
Another single for Litchfield who appears to be trying to increase the run-rate.
FOUR. Georgia Voll also wants to up the run-rate. She whacks Thakur over mid-wicket to the boundary.

The 20-year-old leg-spinner was impressive in the first match of the series.
The first ball is a wrong-un which is worked to gully from Georgia Voll for no run.
FOUR. After another dot, Priya tosses up an over-pitched delivery which allows Voll to skip down the wicket and whack it through cover to the boundary.

Deepti strolls in for her second over.
Voll works the first ball off her hip for a single.
That is the 50-run partnership for Litchfield and Voll.

Litchfield was not able to pierce the in-field on five-consecutive deliveries. Nice field placement from India.

Thakor bowls to Litchfield who hits to mid-wicket. That shot was in the air for a moment.

FOUR. Phoebe Litchfield has played a terrific lofted drive, over the bowler’s head, for four runs.

Deepti did not bowl in the first game, which was surprising considering she is the second-ranked bowler in ICC women’s ODI cricket.
Deepti bowls to Phoebe Litchfield who fends the first ball for a dot.
Litchfield then plays a controlled pull shot along the ground of a single.
Georgia Voll is now on strike and is showing plenty of respect to Deepti.
Voll fends three deliveries, then the Aussies score two runs after Voll works the final ball of the over off her hip.
6th over — Thakor continues
Phoebe Litchfield is on strike for Australia.
She hits the first two balls to fielders for no run.
DROPPED. Priya Punia has dropped Phoebe Litchfield. It was chipped to mid-on and required Punia to lunge forward. It hit the top of her hands and spilled out. That should have been taken.
Litchfield gets off strike on the next ball with a single.
FOUR. Georgia Voll is producing a driving masterclass. Thakor bowled too full again and Voll smacked the ball past mid-off to the boundary.

5th over — Thakur continues
FOUR. Georgia Voll is in a mood this morning. That was a textbook cover driver of the opening ball of the fifth over.
FOUR. Another drive from Voll goes to the boundary. India better stop bowling into that nice slot, because Voll is getting her front foot down the wicket and driving wonderfully.
“Just beautiful shots, not overhitting, just guiding them through either straight down the ground or through the covers,” Jo Broadbent tells ABC Sport.
Voll knocks the next two deliveries into the leg-sdie for no run.
Australia takes a quick single into the off-side. If India had have hit the stumps, Georgia Voll may have been in some trouble. But she is safe.
Litchfield faces the final ball of the over, and knocks it into the covers for a single.
4th over — Thakor continues
FOUR. What a lovely start to the over. Georgia Voll plays a wonderful on-drive to the boundary. That delivery was too full from Thakor.
Voll then turns a ball to deep square leg for a single. That shot was in the air but there was no fielder.

BEATEN. Phoebe Litchfield walked down the wicket to Thakor, who bowls full. The ball just misses the edge and the stumps. Interesting tactic from the Australian left-hander.
A good short ball is left alone to end the over.

3rd over — Thakur continues
Renuka Singh Thakur will bowl her first ball to Georgia Voll, starting her second over.
Voll plays a cut shot and gets two runs.
An inside edge onto the pad is fielded at short forward mid-wicket. Voll then fends the next two deliveries.
FOUR. That is a lovely straight drive. The ball was swinging in, and Voll took a nice stride forward and just punched it down the ground. It was described as a “beautiful shot” but Jo Broadbent on ABC Sport radio. Could not agree more.
Voll takes a single off the final ball of the over.
