Lloyds set to close 37 branches in 2026 – full list

Lloyds is set to close almost 40 of its UK branches in the remainder of 2026. It comes after a slew of closures from the major high street bank. It is one of several UK banks that is rolling out widespread closures. Bosses at these banks have pointed to a number of reasons behind these closures, but the main one is changing customer habits. Bank bosses say that the majority of customers now manage their accounts online via websites and apps, so the demand for in-person services has decreased.

The banking group said the closures will provide customers with more freedom and choice to bank “in a way that works for them”, marking a shift towards digital banking.
