A video featuring a avalanche witnessed by skiers in Utah, USA, has gone viral on social media. The video shows a huge layer of snow coming down from Mount Timpanogos and enveloping a large area.
The clip shared by Twitter user Chris Harrington shows two skiers looking at the avalanche in amazement. From the snow-covered hill, a large amount of snow is seen descending and covering the area.
The man recording the video is heard saying: “That is one of the biggest avalanches I have ever seen. It goes to… us. The skiers get scared when the snow approaches them and one of them said: “Dude, I hope there is no one on Doob Hill. Here comes brother.” Soon, snow envelops them.

“A friend just shared this with me. Avalanche at @SundanceResort. Right now,” the clip’s caption read. Harrington added in the comments section that no one was hurt. “I have confirmed with Sundance that this was off property and there were no injuries,” she wrote.
Netizens were stunned by the clip, with many wondering how the skiers remained calm in the face of the situation. One user commented: “General thought: If you see a big avalanche like something rolling towards you, assume you are in danger and get out of there. It amazes me that those people just stayed to watch videos and take photos.” Another user wrote: “WOW! What amazing material #trailer.” A third user commented, “I’m running in the opposite direction in this scenario.”
A Fox13 report said that the avalanche of “powercloud” stopped in the area of dry lakes outside the complex.
