FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) -The long-awaited Love’s Travel Stop is now open for business.
In January, Love’s started construction in the Dixie community.
Love’s is located just off of U.S. 98 between Elks Lake and Ira Hudson roads.
The company said in a statement issued Thursday that it was excited to settle in the Hattiesburg/Forrest County area.
“This location is supported by over 100 team members from the local area, eager to assist both travelers passing through and community members who stop in for fuel, food, the dog park and more,” Love’s statement read in part. “The Hattiesburg team chose the United Way of Southeast Mississippi to donate $5,000 to in honor of our grand opening.”
