M4 shut in both directions as ‘horse on the loose’ sparks major safety fears

After the horse was safely coaxed away from its time car spotting, Thames Valley Police and National Highways confirmed the major route has been fully reopened.

However, they warned drivers travelling around Newbury may still meet long delays as congestion slowly begins to ease.
