Major UK motorway chaos after huge lorry crash sparks severe 2 hour delays

Traffic remains backed up for 10 miles on the northbound M5 despite the motorway reopening following the earlier lorry crash.

The latest traffic camera image shows long queues of stationary cars and HGVs stretching back from the scene.

A National Highways traffic officer vehicle with its amber lights flashing can also be seen making its way past the stationary traffic.

Drivers are still facing delays of around 90 minutes, while lane one remains closed because of barrier damage.
