Mamelodi Sundowns are set to offload their fringe attacker to one of the three ‘Soweto giants’ before the closing of the domestic transfer window.
According to SABC Sport, Promise Mkhuma is on his way to Swallows FC after struggling for regular game time over the past few seasons at Sundowns.
Mkhuma has, for over a year now, been trying to at least secure a loan move away from Chloorkop but nothing materialised.
Both Cape Town City and SuperSport United failed in their attempts to sign Mkhuma from Sundowns, but his single appearance last season has seemingly hit home.
Since his promotion to the first team in 2019, the 22-year-old has featured in 23 competitive matches without a single goal or assist to his name.
However, a change of environment could do Mkhuma’s career a world of good, especially given that age is still on his side.
The public broadcaster’s website claims that both Sundowns and Swallows have agreed a deal on Mkhuma but it’s unclear whether it will be a loan or a permanent deal.
MAMELODI SUNDOWNS AND SWALLOWS AGREE MKHUMA DEAL?
“Indications are that Swallows have agreed a deal in principle for the striker to start afresh but it’s not yet clear whether this will be on loan or on a permanent deal,” reports SABC Sport.
