A man in his 30s became fixated on a woman in her 60s, even going so far as to “breastfeed” from her as a warped form of revenge against his own mum.
Despite being legally banned from contacting the woman, 32 year old Michael Jones repeatedly breached this order, resulting in his arrest and subsequent sentencing.
The court was told that Jones had previously attacked the woman and was slapped with a restraining order, which he flouted on three separate occasions over the summer, including one incident where he was caught “breastfeeding” from her. The news comes as Met Police scandal sses officers caught calling for migrants to be shot.
This breach resulted in his sentencing at Caernarfon Crown Court, where he was handed a 15-month prison term.
Jones had earlier admitted causing grievous bodily harm without intent, reports the Mirror US.
In June, he was given a 16-month suspended sentence for the same offence.
However, it emerged in court that Jones, a resident of Glan Cadnant, Caernarfon, had met with the woman three times in July.
Prosecutor Amy Edwards revealed that the woman had bumped into Jones on a cycle path in Caernarfon, where she left him a bottle of water because he looked “tired.”
They subsequently connected on Facebook and arranged to meet in a park in Caernarfon at night.
The woman intended to end their relationship and asked Jones to stop contacting her, describing their relationship as akin to “mother and son,” whilst Jones saw himself as a “caregiver.”
Edwards revealed that Jones confessed to harbouring a “hatred towards women” and an “odd fascination with (this woman’s) breasts,” becoming emotional during the conversation.
Days later, they crossed paths again on a bike trail. They shared a consensual kiss, and “she allowed him to breastfeed for 10 minutes.”
The man admitted that he spoke to women her age “as a way of getting back at his mother,” the prosecutor disclosed.
The woman later conceded that she recognised it was “strange behaviour,” but it had been part of their relationship.
On 14 July, Jones rang the woman, claiming he was starving and asked her to come to his flat. However, when she arrived, he initially refused to let her leave, according to court reports.
When she finally managed to escape, she temporarily moved in with a friend out of fear of what might happen next. On 28 July, Jones revealed to his probation officer about the “secret” meetings in “hidden” locations.
The probation officer reported this to the police. In a statement, the 60 year old woman claimed her health had worsened due to the stress of her ordeal.
She stated, “I know he’s obsessed with me. I know from experience that the obsession is dangerous.”
Today, Dafydd Roberts, defending, mentioned that Jones now has a new focus as he has a girlfriend.
Mr. Roberts added: “While she talks about the harm she suffered, her conduct suggests she was more prepared to have this contact than she admits.”
She would rendezvous with him late at night in secluded spots. However, Mr. Roberts highlighted that Jones does have “attachment problems”.
“He knows he should not have been having contact with her, but he could not stop himself,” concluded Mr. Roberts.
Judge Nicola Jones noted that the woman was “very complicit” in the situation. She recognised the defendant’s mental health issues and other problems, but stressed his breach of the restraining order on three occasions.
She sentenced him to three months for the breaches and activated 12 months from his suspended sentence, resulting in a total of 15 months’ imprisonment.
The restraining order barring contact with his victim was extended for an additional three years, set to expire on June 5, 2030.
