Man, 75, dies after being attacked outside bank on high street – as police arrest three teenage girls in connection

An elderly man has died after being attacked outside a bank on a London high street. 

Three teenage girls aged 14, 16 and 17 were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily prior to the 75-year-old’s death. Police have said this is now being reviewed.  

The 75-year-old man was found injured at the scene and taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. 

His next of kin have been informed.

A separate cordon has been set up near the Moonlight Supermarket on Holloway Road. 

The Met has said enquiries are ongoing and has asked anyone with information to call police on 101 or contact @MetCC on X quoting CAD8184/27FEB25.
