Police are investigating the death of a man after he was hit by a car in Brisbane’s east on Wednesday morning.
Emergency services were called to Meadowlands Rd in Cardinale after reports the pedestrian had been hit by a car while crossing the road.
He suffered critical injuries and died at the scene. Emergency services were called at 6.40am.

Police have yet to determine the cause of the accident, and a spokesman said it was a “complicated incidentâ€.
It’s understood the man was crossing the road, about 30 metres from traffic lights, at the intersection of Bedivere St and Meadowlands Rd, when he was hit by a car heading inbound.
A nearby cyclist and the car’s driver called triple-0.
The Courier Mail is reporting the cyclist performed CPR until emergency services arrived.
Police remain on scene and there is still some traffic disruption.
It comes after a man died while working on the roof of a veterinary clinic in Capalaba on Tuesday night.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner, and Workplace Health and Safety are investigating the circumstances of the death.
