Jeopardy! is making a serious change. Mayim Bialik will not host the quiz present, the The Large Bang Concept alum shared the information on her Instagram Friday.
It was simply final summer season that Bialik was named the long-running sport present’s everlasting co-host, reverse Jeopardy! champion Ken Jennings. In her new put up, Bialik wrote that she was knowledgeable by studio Sony that she would “not be internet hosting the syndicated model” of the present. She didn’t give a cause for her exit.
“I’m extremely honored to have been nominated for a primetime Emmy for internet hosting this 12 months and I’m deeply grateful for the chance to have been part of the Jeopardy! household,” the Blossom star wrote. “For all of you who’ve supported me by way of this unimaginable journey and to the followers, contestants, writers, workers and crew of America’s Favourite Quiz Present, thanks.”
Jennings will proceed along with his internet hosting duties, Sony confirmed in a press release to Leisure Weekly shortly after the information of Bialik’s exit broke.
“We made the choice to have one host for the syndicated present subsequent season to keep up continuity for our viewers, and Ken Jennings would be the sole host for syndicated Jeopardy!,” the spokesperson for the studio stated. “We’re actually grateful for all of Mayim’s contributions to Jeopardy!, and we hope to proceed to work along with her on primetime specials.”
