Instagram Threads, the Twitter clone that Goal Released two weeks ago, it is being updated to include new features, including a follow tab.
Cameron Roth, Instagram Software Engineer, shared a thread mail on Tuesday, announcing additions to the app as part of an update to of Apple iOS.
The follow tab will presumably make it easier for people to see who is following them. Users will also be able to access a translate button to read text in other languages and more easily read posts from people they don’t follow. Roth said the iOS update includes some software bug fixes and charging improvements.
Threads was an instant hit for Meta, which reported a record 100 million records in just five days, prompting defensive responses from the Twitter founder Elon Musk and the new executive director, Linda Yaccarino. However, data from Sensor Tower and Similarweb showed that the service saw some leave in growth and commitment the following week.
advertisers said CNBC that they hope Threads will add more features like chronological feeds and the ability to search for hashtags, which could help them create better ad campaigns when Meta opens up that opportunity.
In a separate Threads post on Tuesday, Roth said regarding the update that users “may need to restart their app to see some of these or wait until the end of the day.”
“We use a system of server-delivered flags that can take a while to fully release,” he wrote.
