The Foo Fighters drummerâ€™s passing was confirmed in a March 25 statement from the band, who was set to perform in Bogota, Colombia on their South American tour.
â€œThe Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins,â€ the bandâ€™s statement reads. â€œHis musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.â€
Following the news, social media was flooded with tributes to the musician, from fans as well as his friends and peers in the entertainment industry.

In a statement from the entire band, the official account for Nickelback , â€œIn utter disbelief at the news of Taylor Hawkins.
