‘Military conflicts can’t solve issues’: PM Modi calls reforms in global institutions

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday called for reforms in global institutions. The remarks come at a time when tensions in the Middle East are rising amid a joint US-Israel strike on Iran and retaliation by Tehran.

Modi was speaking after a bilateral meeting with Finland President Alexander Stubb. He said, “Finland and India are in agreement… Only military conflicts cannot solve every issue. Be it Ukraine or West Asia, we want the end of the conflicts and establishment of peace at the earliest. We also agree that the rising global challenges demand urgent reforms in global institutions.”
