It comes as the Labor Party pushes for the Morrison government to set a more ambitious 2030 target ahead of the next election, despite not having one of their own.
“Targets come and go but the real point where the rubber hits the road is what’s the average cost to an Australian household of going down this pathway,†Mr Latham told Sky News host Paul Murray.
