The tranquil skies in Ayodhya are set to get noisy with scores of roaring jets thronging to the holy city this month as India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates a controversial temple.
As many as 100 personal jets may land on Jan. 22 on the shiny new airport within the historic metropolis, located on the banks of Sarayu river, in line with Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of the Uttar Pradesh state. Enterprise tycoons and political leaders will take chartered flights to the city to attend the consecration ceremony on the long-awaited temple.
