&MORE: Cadbury announces first new chocolate block range in 10 YEARS – and it’ll launch at Coles and Woolworths this week

Cadbury is set to make its most significant brand debut in more than 10 years – and it’s likely to divide sweet tooths across Australia.

On Wednesday, April 15, Cadbury &MORE will hit supermarket shelves, just over a decade on from the release of Marvellous Creations.

The indulgent range is a more ‘premium’ offering, with Cadbury describing the chocolate bars as ‘elevated’, ‘sensory-rich’ and ‘indulgent’.

And at $9 per 195g block, this is reflected in the slightly higher price point.

For comparison, a 180g Cadbury Dairy Milk block costs $6-$8 at Woolworths and Coles.

There are five different flavours, each promising ‘bigger chocolate pieces, more generous fillings, flowing centres and crunchy inclusions’.

The flavours are dessert-inspired and include Hazelnut Praline, Tiramisu Swirl, Caramel Creme Brulee, Roasted Macadamia and Raspberry Cheesecake.

Each one is filled with little treats like biscuit pieces, caramel, nuts and jellies.

They are all made in Australia at Tasmania’s Claremont Cadbury factory.

‘This marks an exciting new chapter in our Australian chocolate lineup, delivering a multi-sensorial experience like never before,’ Ben Wicks, VP of Marketing ANZ, Mondelez International, said.

‘Indulgence today isn’t about waiting for a special occasion; it’s about making space in our busy lives for those small moments where you can stop and give yourself permission to completely give in.

‘We’ve taken everything people love about Cadbury and layered it up, creating something more playful, more expressive and more indulgent in every bite.’

The reaction to the bold new offering has been mixed online, with some delighted and others raising concerns about the higher pricing.

‘No one asked for this… too expensive for me,’ one critic wrote.

‘They look yum, but the price will put me off,’ another agreed.

‘Oh geez, I’m going to be fat and broke,’ one more teased.
