Daliwonga – ‘Uyang’Testa’

Rhythmical vocalist Daliwonga brings his soulful voice to this recently released amapiano nine-track album. The singer comes from Diepkloof, Soweto, and is believed to be one of the genre’s most promising singers.

He is featured on one of the biggest amapiano songs of 2019, Yelele, featuring DJ Stoks, Kevin Mono and Luu Nineleven.

Daliwonga is also featured multiple times on Kabza De Small’s new album I am the King of Amapiano: Sweet & Dust.

Pop Smoke – ‘Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon’

Pop Smoke’s new album, featuring Lil Baby, DaBaby, Future and Tyga, boasts rap superstar 50 Cent as executive producer. And ranked third-best rapper (behind Eminem and Nelly) by Billboard, we’ve come to expect the best when 50 Cent gets involved. 

The Brooklyn rapper passed away in February after he was shot twice in his home in California. The rapper is famous for blending the UK sound “drill” with American trap music, and his most well-known songs include Dior, Welcome to the Party and Shake the Room.

This five-track EP follows on her album Over It that featured R&B artists Bryson Tiller, Usher, PARTYNEXTDOOR and 6LACK.

On all her songs, Summer speaks about romantic experiences and draws listeners in with her smooth voice and soft instrumentals. Her music speaks to anyone who has ever been in love or fallen out of love.

Zoë Modiga – ‘Inganekwane’

Singer-songwriter Zoë Modiga music speaks to the richness of Africa and her jazzy tone enhances her music further. In 2018, Zoë was nominated for a South African Music Award (Sama) for her debut album, Yellow: The Novel.

She has performed at Afropunk Johannesburg and the Cape Town International Jazz Festival, as well as collaborated with South African musicians Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Thandiswa Mazwai and Johnny Clegg.
