Queensland contact tracers are racing to track down the source of a new COVID-19 infection revealed late on Monday.
The man in his 30s appears to have visited a childcare centre, furniture shop and a McDonald’s in Brisbane’s north and a company in the city’s south specialising in vehicle seating.
Health authorities said the man worked in the aviation industry but had not recently travelled outside of the state. They’re still investigating how he got sick.
They’re set to reveal more details in Tuesday morning’s press conference, when the new case will be added to the state’s official case tally.
“We urge all Queenslanders to check the contact tracing website and follow the health advice if you’ve been to any of these locations,” Queensland Health said in a statement issued on Monday night.
